Re: not connected to internet but mailwasher says "last checked"

It would be more useful to display something like that. I wasn't too clear above, MailWasher sets that message when a Check Mail starts, it doesn't wait to see if the check completes before displaying 'mail was last checked xx minutes ago'.

Re: not connected to internet but mailwasher says "last checked"

Yeah we could set this to display something more meaningful, presently it's the action of checking the accounts that determines the display of that message, whether or not the accounts can actually be checked successfully isn't something MailWasher looks at, rather just that a Check Mail action was ...

Re: after upgrade to 7.9 none of my friends list or spam list is populated

I can't think of how this happened, being stored in the database (Friends and Blacklist) it shouldn't be possible to lose one and not the other. Can you clarify though what you mean by the spam list being gone. Under Settings >> Spam Tools >> Friends List >> Options >> do you have any of the expiry ...

Re: mail not showing

If I recall, with POP and GMail you need to tell GMail not to move spam messages into the Spam folder, that way they'll display in your Inbox, which is what MailWasher checks. Details on how to do that can be seen here http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/69442/how-to-disable-gmail-anti-spam-c...

Re: Mailwasher (NOT RESPONDING) 6.5.4

You could try renaming your Trash.rot135, so the same steps just rename the Trash file (which is the Recyle Bin) Hi there Try going into Help >> About >> open the link to where MailWasher stores the data files >> then close MailWasher so it's not running >> back in the folder you just opened rename ...

Re: Lost Password

OK, that DLL file is included in the ZIP. So maybe save/extract the ZIP file to your desktop first.

Re: Lost Password

Hi there

Try running the attached. In the ZIP file is show_pass.exe >> run this hit the Refresh button >> it should display your passwords as they've been setup in the email programs.

Re: Installing Mailwasher 7.9.0 on a new or extra computer

Nope, pretty much install 7.9, put in the license and you're good to go. MailWasher 7 too has a back up feature, under File >> Export >> you can create a backup file of your settings etc... So if you're setting up on a new machine, but already been using MW7. Create the backup file first, then insta...

Yeah occasionally MailWasher seems to get stuck, if you go into Settings >> General >> Updates >> click Go To Folder >> delete the updates.aiu file and updates.aiu.part if it's present

Re: Using IMAP with MW can I keep important emaisl locally?

Hi Martin If you delete an email in MailWasher, POP or IMAP, it gets removed from the server. IMAP though allows messages on the server to be stored as Read or Unread, and it also supports subfolders. By default, MailWasher when using IMAP only checks the INBOX folder and only loads messages that ar...

Under Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> you have ThunderBIrd selected in the drop down list ? You could try changing this to 'Use Other Application' and browse to the TB executable which is likely "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" (or just copy paste that bo...

Yeah as above, Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> Advanced >> there's two options at the bottom to use PIPELINING, switch those off. It's puzzling how/why this suddenly is an issue for some people, it previously would have been working fine for you as the update would have kept this option the same...

Hi there

Under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> click Advanced >> remove the check mark to use PIPELINING when Checking Mail >> Save.
That should fix this problem.

Thanks

Re: Spam Tool Settings page not scrolling 7.8.10

Yeah, unfortunately not all things on the list make it in, and this will be something we'll look to be sure behaves nicely in the version 8.

In the interim, the mouse scroll wheel should move the filters up and down when you are moused over the names of the filters too.
