I'm running MW 2012 on Windows 8 x64. MW worked fine for the first couple of weeks after I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8. Thanks both for your replies. It's helpful to know that it's a recognised issue and that there's a simple way to clear the inbox. I did search the forum but evidently I was not looking in the right places!
