I have mail washer 7.9 trial version using thunderbird mail server
Mail washer button is not responding to open thunderbird. Is this normal or am I missing something

Under Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> you have ThunderBIrd selected in the drop down list ?

You could try changing this to 'Use Other Application' and browse to the TB executable which is likely "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" (or just copy paste that bolded part, including the quotes.
