Re: Unknown error
You may want to try disabling pipelining.

Re: Unknown error
I did so, but without result. After exit Mailwasher, it takes a long time to get started again. Will reinstalling help?

Re: Unknown error
Reinstalling won't help.
For the slow startup problem — you could try adding the following 3 MWP executables to the exclusion/exception list of your security system:—

Re: Unknown error
If the above fails to improve your MWP startup, just use this installer to upgrade/repair your Microsoft .NET Framework.

Re: Unknown error
4.6.2 is already installed, and Windows will not reinstall it. The Repair Tool made a couple of changes, but the problem was not solved. I am sorry to have posted the issue under wrong topic.

How about the exclusion suggestion?

By some magic, the Error message doesn't appear now. Thank you for your help.

Re: Unknown error
Not a huge believer in magic — but, somehow (after my previous query) had this uncanny feeling that some magic would happen.
If this issue recurs — just ignore it (after all — it's an unknown error.)

Re: Unknown error
Since this morning at 6:45 US MDT I've had this problem. The entire error message:
Description: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.
Diagnosis: <EVENT><NAME>MWPEXCEPTION</NAME><ID>2075232615</ID><DT>3/23/2017 1:48:35 AM</DT><MWPEXCEPTION><UID>Exception -1465481507</UID><AID> at System.Threading.WaitHandle.InternalWaitOne(SafeHandle waitableSafeHandle, Int64 millisecondsTimeout, Boolean hasThreadAffinity, Boolean exitContext) at System.Threading.WaitHandle.WaitOne(Int32 millisecondsTimeout, Boolean exitContext) at System.Threading.WaitHandle.WaitOne() at MWP_API.ApiBase.AvailableRAM() at MWP_API.MWPevents.EventThreadProc()</AID><SOURCE>mscorlib</SOURCE><MESSAGE>The wait completed due to an abandoned mutex.</MESSAGE><ADDTXT><EVENT><NAME>MWPFETCHDONE</NAME><ID>661fa88a1627700d8a301eaedcb9183d</ID><DT>2017-03-22 19:48:35</DT><MWPFETCHDONE><ACCOUNT_TEXT>Main</ACCOUNT_TEXT><ACCOUNT>Acct839373764</ACCOUNT><EMAILSINDROP>0</EMAILSINDROP><MAXTOFETCH>1</MAXTOFETCH><EMAILSFETCHED>0</EMAILSFETCHED><EMAILSPERSECOND>0.0</EMAILSPERSECOND><HOST>pop.gmail.com</HOST><USER>*redacted*</USER></MWPFETCHDONE><ORDINAL>0</ORDINAL></EVENT></ADDTXT></MWPEXCEPTION></EVENT>
I've tried unchecking the suggested "pipelining" checkboxes. No change. Emails download, but the process never finishes. Deletion occurs, but the process never finishes. I just let the screen sit there for an hour.... still working, still looks the same.... with the error pane flashing.
I've changed nothing since yesterday evening at 5:30 US MDT - no updates to anything (especially win 10....) MW works more or less - I get my emails, and even though the program seems like it keeps working forever, it does download to T'bird, and delete through gmail.
It's not an emergency - but it IS annoying.
Oh. No, not a CCleaner user.

Re: Unknown error
Don't recall ever seeing that one before, so my first thought would be to run a .NET Repair >> reboot >> see if it happens again.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30135
If it does, then once the error occurs flick me the logs, go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter a brief note like 'unknown error' >> in the Ticket Number field enter chris >> Send Logs.
Reply back once sent, just so I can check for their arrival,

Re: Unknown error
Yes, I'm downloading/installing the newest .NET framework file - and that's a very strange thing.... because as of just a few minutes ago when I checked which .NET version I had installed - there aren't any. Which.... is just - way too weird, since I've had 4.5.2 (I think?) forever.... So.... is this something win10 would have removed backend without notifying me? I thought I had it set so win 10 couldn't do anything without me knowing it....
And yes, that fixed the MW issues immediately. Thanks.... you guys are really on top of things. I... might have to go back to win 7 if 10 is going to go behind my back. Now, if I had been notified between last night and this morning that my .NET Framework had been removed.... I might still be annoyed.... but at least I'd have had warning.

Re: Unknown error
All good The error was seemingly caused by MailWasher logging how much RAM is available on the system, something obviously got a bit screwed up internally, which the .NET Repair sorted out.
.Net 4 is built into Win10 so it doesn't show up as an extra install, as long as your Windows Updates are being done, then your .NET will be up to date as well. MW won't run at all with .NET missing.

Re: Unknown error
Hmm. Interesting. I actually didn't do a repair, I downloaded and installed .NET 4.6.2 - since I didn't see anything in the list of programs. And that was before your reply about the repair. I - really don't like things hidden. But, I suppose it is what it is. Unless I want to bite the bullet and go with linux.
In any case, thank you VERY much!
