I had cancelled installation of the 7.11 update because of an interruption.
Now attempting to restart the upgrade installation I get an error message
that an installation is operating and my attempt at installation won't be accepted.
Have tried the manual upgrade as well, but neither will let me get through
that point.
Can anyone help me get around this problem?
Thanks!

Re: 7.11 installation snag
Download the full offline 7.11.0 installer (just keep it handy.)
Next, run RegEdit from an elevated command prompt and navigate to the following key:—

Re: 7.11 installation snag
It's possible too uninstalling MailWasher manually first might work, via Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> opt to keep data files when prompted.

Re: 7.11 installation snag
Thank you for your suggestions. I tried them but the problem remained.
I found the following instructions for the same problem for another program:
"If that does not work hit ctrl + alt + del and open the Task Manager. . .
Windows 7
Open the Processes tab
look for Msiexec.exe
If found, right click on it and choose End Process
Try reinstalling. . .
I tried the manual installation program for the 7.11 and it worked this time!
Thank you for your support. I learned my lesson; once you begin, don't stop and cancel an installation.
