Regardless on how I access it, it just refuses to start.
Will restore to before Windows 7 updates
Anyone with same experience?

Re: After today's Window3s 7 update, MWPro does not start
Hi Franou
First thing I would try is rebooting the machine if you have not already.
Do you see the splash screen show, and then MailWasher just appears to stall ?
If so, then if you go into C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher and delete the file startup.xml >> restart MailWasher.
Failing that, I would try running a .NET Repair, you can download the utility from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30135 and just follow the on screen prompts. Takes around 10 minutes.
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks

Re: After today's Window3s 7 update, MWPro does not start
Thank you, Rusticdog.
No flash, nothing at all. I did reboot again to no avail.
I restored to the point before the Windows update and all is fine.
There was one .NET update. I will run the update while skipping it. This will have to wait a few days.
Let' see if others have a similar problem.

I just installed all the updates EXCEPT Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB3186497) and there is no problem with MWP.So you were right, the problem is with .NET. :-)

Re: After today's Window3s 7 update, MWPro does not start
Components such as .NET Framework, Silverlight, Flash Player and Shock Player are all freely available as full, offline installers.
When using Windows Update, it not such a good idea to include the above updates when a major version is released — subsequent minor patches to the .NET Framework for the same version are fine enough.
Those who wish to install the current version 4.7 of .NET Framework can download it separately from this thread where the latest release is kept updated — I'm running it (and, have also deployed it on hundreds of client machines,) without any issue

Re: After today's Window3s 7 update, MWPro does not start
Programmers tell me they've reproduced the issue and found a possible workaround
They'd also like to know what packages were installed related to 'Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0'. For those crashing, are you able to show a screenshot of your installed .NET, via Control Panel >> Programs and Features >>Problem was fixed when .net 4.0 client profile (or any other packages associated with .net 4.0) was removed, after that installed KB3186497.
