When mail is autoforwarded, they show up twice in Mailwasher. Rightfully so.
Is there a way to 'Mark for deletion' the first mail, i.e. the one that is coming from the email address where the mail was sent to initially.
Example:
a mail is sent to my Gmail account.
within Gail all is set to be autoforwarded to my Outlook.com account
mail shows up twice in Mailwasher
1 for Outlook.com
1 for Gmail.com
the Gmail.com mail should then be marked for deletion.
Such mails have the same timestamp with Mailwasher.

Re: How to mark forwarded mails?
If you login to your Gmail account and configure it as per this graphic illustration, your forwarded mails from Gmail won't even need to be be marked for delete as they won't show-up in the first place.mw62 wrote:mail shows up twice in Mailwasher

Re: How to mark forwarded mails?
I'm having a similar setup here. The solution is not in Mailwasher, but in Gmail.
*In Gmail*, create a filter for the mail to be forwarded. You might want to create a special folder in Gmail, for read/forwarded mssges....
Your filter should read something like this:
If [conditions] then forward to [forwardingaddres@yourprovider.com), skip inbox [AND] move to [gmail folder]
This works for me (I'm using the Dutch Gmail, so things might be a bit different for you... ) :

Re: How to mark forwarded mails?
Hi there,
Thanks for the feedbacks.
As for the filter, frankly, sofar I hardly (=never) used that option.
I am afraid I don't find a kind of 'Move to' option, within Gmail (web access)
Then again, I may be overlooking something.

Re: How to mark forwarded mails?
If you still have two instances in MWP, you've probably ticked "all mssges" in your MWP account settings, under IMAP server. Here ONLY "inbox" should be ticked, as per this image:

Re: How to mark forwarded mails?
ah, there may be a difference there, as I am using pop3
I don't have this IMAP server tab (and folder structure)
Forget it, it is not worth spending more time on this.
It is not a big thing. No problem.
It would have been nice if a simple solution would have been available.
Anyway, many thanks for your help!
