Servers Down

Thu Jan 19, 2017 3:39 am

For me, most of the servers are down: Only three appear to be working.

OK, understood, I have downloaded V2 but cannot find any sort of user manual. The opening screen asks what I would like to redirect of Internet Browsers or all computer, but I see nothing else. Am I meant to uninstall V1. Is the only thing possible either a toal redirect or a selected browser? What about exclusions etc. Frankly I'm a bit lost for lack of any user guide.

Yeah sorry, I was a touch brief. Uninstall version 1, given that's now dead in the water.

Currently version 2 only has the options presented, choose what to redirect + country, hit Start. We're doing another quick update to add in Australia and Netherlands. That build just got driver approval via Microsoft so should be ready very soon.

The plan looking ahead for the next few weeks...
UDP Support - 3 weeks to go. Finish mid Feb.
Client side TCP/UDP - 4 weeks to go
UI/Client integration with Auto-Updates. - Finish mid-March (this is the part you're interested in most, rules and exclusions etc...)

Then a soft-release.

The demise of v1 is very awkward timing and put things in a bad situation, but unfortunately we cannot speed up the progress of v2, and that's just got to truck along as planned.

Thanks, I've done that. From what I can see I have to start HideAway 2 each time I log on? It does not operate like the old version where we logged on and stayed like that until we logged off?

Yeah that's right, that will also be part of the UI/Client integration.

Unffortunately I have now discovered that running HideAway 2 blocks my wireless printer. Is that what you would expect and,if so, is there a way around this?

Ah dang, no that won't be until we've got the exclusions etc... sorted
Same issue that you had with HA1 I imagine http://forum.firetrust.com/viewtopic.ph ... 486#p98482
