Re: is colour coding no longer available

You can create a filter for each of your contacts, or group of contacts then assign a color to that filer. Since there are limited choices of colors in Mailwasher, you can edit the Filters.xml file (with Notepad) and insert a hex value of a different color - giving you nearly limitless color options...

Re: Failed to connect to POP. CENTURYLINK.net server

LOL - well, it was a bit of a paraphrase, but glad you got it.

Since this is also happening on a second computer, it could be a firewall setting in your router - though again, being intermittent makes it puzzling.

And thanks.

Re: Failed to connect to POP. CENTURYLINK.net server

Are you using brightspeed and there centurylink server in the Virginia? Sorry but I think I gave some confusing information. As I noted in my first post above, I only use CenturyLink for my landline phone. They are not my internet service provider (ISP) or my email provider. When I said I used Cent...

Re: Failed to connect to POP. CENTURYLINK.net server

I know they are not the same. That's why I was using centurylink.net instead of centurylink.com. I note not all CenturyLink subscribers went to Brightspeed. But again, if this were widespread, regardless if CenturyLink or Brightspeed, there would be widespread reports. I'm not seeing that. I suggest...

Re: Failed to connect to POP. CENTURYLINK.net server

I am 99% positive it it the centurylink service. But getting them to do something about it is another story. I doubt it is their network or else 1000s (millions!) of users would be complaining. And checking again with "Is The Service Down" shows it is up in most areas. Similar status reporting site...

Re: Failed to connect to POP. CENTURYLINK.net server

Not sure what to tell you here. I'm a old fuddy-duddy when it comes to many things. I still have a landline phone and it works this morning. It is with CenturyLink. I just logged into my account with no problems. So at least part of their network works. They are not my ISP or mail service provider, ...

Re: Color for Marked as Good

I don't use the Friends List (or Blacklist either). Instead, I created a new filter I called "Friends" and I put my friends in there. It has a unique color. I did the same for "Family" and other "good" things (Forum notifications, Newsletters, $$$ Stuff, Health, etc). Each has a unique color. Yes, i...

You should NOT see this out in the internet. Do you have a link?

It is not advertised because it is a beta version - still being tested and has not been authorized for public release or preview.

Re: *****SPAM***** inserted in Subject

MW Pro 7 tags the email with a red tag. I don't need added SPAM notification. I agree. I'm the same way. But it is not MailWasher putting the *****SPAM***** in the subject. You keep mentioning Avast, but Avast should have nothing to do with this - unless you have configured Avast to look for spam t...

but they seem more reliable than the others. I don't know what "more reliable" means, or what "others" means either. There is nothing to suggest Avast is more (or less) reliable. If you like it, that's great - as long as you keep it (and your OS) current. I am not familiar with Digitalspace. Howeve...

Re: *****SPAM***** inserted in Subject

It "sounds" like you might have Cox Communications as your Internet and email provider because that is exactly what happens to email sent to my Cox address they suspect is spam. And, at least with my experience and Cox's spam filter, that is a good thing! If not Cox, then a provider that deals with ...

Re: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.

Your Hotmail problem "should" not to be related to this past unknown error issue. It is now known the problem was tracked it down to a 3rd party program used inside MailWasher. The license key was not entered correctly but it still allowed everything to run for 60 days without any issues. The fix wa...

Installed an older version I am glad you got it working but seriously, why an older version? In probably a dozen place by now, including a couple just a few replies up from yours, are links to the newest versions that resolves these issues. You should have, by now, even received an email from Firet...

Re: Questions about basics

I like the tip but how do I accomplish this in Outlook? I cannot speak for all versions of Outlook. I have Oulook 2016. And see this to learn how to stop Outlook 2016 from sending/receiving when opening. If you have a different version, hopefully the steps will be similar enough to follow. Let us k...
