Re: Resize email accounts window

Right, thank you for that. That worked. I had already tried changing the screen resolution, but that didn't help. I didn't think of the scaling: I reduced it from 125% to 100%... and (after a reboot, as you suggested) I can see all the information in window now :P

Resize email accounts window

When I go into Tools and choose Email Accounts (or General Options for that matter), the window that opens is too small to see all the information.. part of it is outside the popupwindow. The window doesn't seem to be resizeable (no 'drag' handles appear at the edges). In the Email Account window, c...

Re: SPAM with no 'To' email address

Excellent idea! (Why didn't I think of it??!!).. I'll try it, but I haven't had any such emails in the past 36 hours to test it on. I'll add such a filter now anyway.

SPAM with no 'To' email address

I am starting to get dozens of SPAM emails that are bypassing my filters (MS 6.5.4) by somehow showing no 'To' email address - the 'To' column in MW is blank. How are these emails coming to me if my email address is not showing? And, moreover, how would I set up a filter for these - I can't see anyt...

Block all emails with images?

Hi. I searched the forums and Googled this, but haven't found an answer, so maybe someone could kindly advise? Is there a way to set up a filter (in MW 6.5.4) which would mark all emails with images for deletion? I rarely get legitimate emails containing images, and those that I do I can add the sen...

Backing up Mailwasher 6 Pro....

I have been browsing the forums, but could someone kindly just confirm... I regularly back up the folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MailWasherPro - (Win7 x64) so, should I ever have any 'accidents' and have to reinstall MW, just replacing the 'clean' folder with my backup should give me back ...

Re: "Mailwasher Pro is already running'. But where is it?

No, I already had that option checked, but it made no difference unchecking then rechecking the box - the icon was still not visible after rebooting.

Re: "Mailwasher Pro is already running'. But where is it?

The zero CPU value in Task Manager is normal when the programme is active but not processing - mine also shows zero CPU and is working fine. Do you get the same thing if MW doesn't start up with Windows? I have no trouble now that I start it 'manually' after a reboot. And presumably you have tried '...

Re: "Mailwasher Pro is already running'. But where is it?

Hi. I only have one instance of Mailwasher installed (6.5.4), as per link you posted. In fact, I'd already removed MW from the startup folder and now start it up manually after a reboot (the icon's pinned to my Start Menu) - as I see you have just suggested. I thought that this would be OK until I f...

"Mailwasher Pro is already running'. But where is it?

Hi. When I reboot my laptop the Mailwasher process starts automatically, but the icon is nowhere to be seen in the system tray. The process shows in the Task Manager, but with no icon to click I cannot access the programme. I have to kill the process in Task manager every time and then restart it vi...

Re: Spam from 'friends'. Can I blacklist it?

In the end, since 99% of the spam I get is from one particular email address, I have set up a filter to block ALL emails from that address (only works if I select the option to locate the email address in the entire header, not just the 'To' box) and then added the addresses I know legitimately use ...

Re: Spam from 'friends'. Can I blacklist it?

How would he .add a space. without changing his email address? I have used MW for years (free version first, Pro later) and have quite forgotten if things like that are possible - I hardly ever go into Yahoo itself these days. Sorry if it is an idiot question!!!

Thanks.

Re: Spam from 'friends'. Can I blacklist it?

Another two spoofs from my 'son': when I look at the complete header in MW it shows the From: line like this (were my son's name Fred Bloggs for example).. From: Fred Bloggs <Fred Bloggs@yahoo.co.uk> which is the same as in a legitimate email. So I don't see how I can filter these. Wish I could get ...
