Re: Does Mailwasher support Outlook Exchange?

Thanks. Regretfully Outlook 365 for Windows does not have this kind of settings. That said, here is something peculiar. I have removed my IMAP account and re-added my account as Exchange. Considering that mails automatically arrive in my mailbox, no matter IMAP or Exchange. Obviously, with an Exchan...

Re: Does Mailwasher support Outlook Exchange?

Later:

I have been able to change the account to IMAP.

As said before, the mails arrive automatically, by default.
So, it is bypassing Mailwasher.

How to best set this up?
Curious to know how others might have set this up.

Outlook 365 IMAP.

Thanks!

Re: Does Mailwasher support Outlook Exchange?

Then again, I noticed that mails are arriving even a little -earlier- in my actual mailbox than in Mailwasher. Probably this has something to do with what Kristine Arp is writing in her reply on thread titled: "How to stop Outlook 2016 receiving mail automatically" https://answers.microsoft.com/en-u...

Re: Does Mailwasher support Outlook Exchange?

Now ... THIS I don't understand . . . totally puzzled.

All of a sudden 'Exchange' mails show up in Mailwasher... Is this a one-time luck??

Re: Does Mailwasher support Outlook Exchange?

Sorry for the delay. Thanks for the feedback. I really feel (very) sad about this... Most Office 365 users, when adding their Outlook account, they have 2 options: 1. just enter their email address and password and that's it, or 2. enter email address and go into 'advanced' setup, select IMAP, enter...

Does Mailwasher support Outlook Exchange?

I may be overlooking it, but I could not find an answer on the above question in the FAQ. Looked through various posts here, could not find it either. I can only but conclude that MW doesn't support Exchange: I create an Exchange account within Office 365 Mailwasher could not detect it, opposed to P...

Re: Fresh install on a laptop

I just discovered .. it is also on the purchase page: SnagIt-04112018 110808.png However, at the time when buying a lifetime license (at the introduction of Lifetime license, somewhere in 2011 I believe), there was no mention of number of pc's. I do think a EULA-PDF should be made available (or at l...

Fresh install on a laptop

I have a Lifetime license and have been using Mailwasher on a desktop pc so far. Within a week or two I will receive a (new) laptop. I am also new to using a laptop, I never owned one before. Would like to have Mailwasher installed on the laptop as well. Within the current license - is that okay? (h...

Re: How to mark forwarded mails

I can't detect any X-Forwarded stuff. Under 'Source' the only 'X'- entries are X-Customer-ID, X-Database-ID, X-Content-ID, X-Job-ID, X-Contract-ID all with random numbers and figures. Under 'General' Email header: there are no X-entries either. The below example involved some kind of notification. S...

Re: Scam filtering

I use MW pretty much default, so SpamCop and Spamhaus are tagged by default. However, I am not sure whether threat mails fall within the scope of monitoring of SpamCop and Spamhaus. They may consider this as scam not spam and I suppose they use blocklists (with servers) and have no options to filter...

How to mark forwarded mails

Mails sent to my Gmail account are forwarded to my Outlook account. Within Mailwasher they show up twice: column Account : gmail and outlook. So far I manually tagged (for delete) the gmail entries within Mailwasher. It seems I can't create a filter on my gmail-account (From/To/Delivered to, etc.) a...

Scam filtering

Up front: I've been using Mailwasher quite a while now (see below) and so far it never let me down. Where possible I promote the use of Mailwasher. So far I've never received any threat mails, however, over the last three weeks I received two mails. Even though it was clearly scam* and I deleted the...
