Re: Hideaway beta.
Hello, as a fully paid up purchaser of Hideaway and a long time consumer of Firetrust products 20 years? and after many frustrating months trying to get Hideaway to work, I have finally given up on it. It never installs and gives the same error each time with a different error code, but essentially ...

Re: Error with 3.0 Beta
Sorry, more of same. 1.Registry Snapshot, your folder not present: 2: Following install attempt our old friend: 3. A reference to HW I found in the registry if this is any help. 4. I had the usual prompt to reboot: So another complete fail. In answer to your statement regarding 'beta stage' I did or...

HIDEAWAY 3.0 WILL NOT INSTALL
Hey guys, I have this unanswered issue in another thread but have not received any replies. I have completely cleaned out all references to Hideaway and rebooted a zillion times but it still does not want to know. You've asked for feedback and it would be nice if this was a two way street. I've been...

Re: Error with 3.3 Beta
Er,except no it isn't (resolved). When to open it today, and the icon has just plain disappeared from my desktop! Honestly, I have never before come across a piece of software that works (or doesn't) in such a strange fashion. :scratch :crazy I did a search for Hideaway on Windows 10 search bar. cli...

Re: Error with 3.0 Beta
Hi there, I should have replied earlier but I have been unwell and didn't really feel up to messing with this, but today, I went for it again, downloaded Beta 3.3 and went for the install. Curiously, a dialogue box popped up and said that installation could not be completed because the system had no...

Re: Error with 3.0 Beta
Hi everyone, getting exact same error message with Hideaway 3.0.1 and uninstalling and re-installing, rebooting and generally doing what everyone recommends but getting nowhere. Running the scripts from the cmd prompt also ends in failure.. HW cmd.JPG Any other suggestions? It appears to be looking ...

Re: Hideaway Crashed & Burned
Hi again Nick, sorry I've been slow to respond but I believe it's now become stable since uninstalling and reinstalling. At first it behaved the same way (run for about 5 minutes then just vanish) but after a couple of days and me keeping an eye on it, I am pleased to report that it has remained sta...

Re: Hideaway Crashed & Burned
No, sorry, same issue. Will launch OK and run from between 5-10 mins and then Windows pops up and says "Hideaway has stopped working". Program then freezes and vanishes.
There doesn't seem to be a common denominator - it simply just stops...

Re: Hideaway Crashed & Burned
Ooops tilt. It runs ok for about 5 mins then checks out. It will re-launch but then checks out again. I'm going to uninstall (at least it is now showing up in Control Panel Programs & Features) and reinstall and see how that goes.

Re: Hideaway Crashed & Burned
The system check came up clear. Your route through the registry didn't pan out because there was no foldernamed "WinpkFilter". However, there was a folder named Hideaway in folder WOW6432Node and in it was the same key: 'IsAlreadyInstalled' so I changed the value to 0. However! I went to your site t...

Re: Hideaway Crashed & Burned
Hi Nick, I'll give that a try and get back to you. No new anti-virus program but fairly recent Anti-Exploit Malwarebytes. AS I said, Hideaway works so far in the background I did not notice when this issue first occurred...

Hideaway Crashed & Burned
Won't start up (well, it did once and then crashed). Unable to get it back up and unable to uninstall as the Windows uninstaller doesn't think it's installed, so apart from manual delete what can I do? Tried 2.0 Beta but it switched off the internet so I couldn't find out how to work around that, so...
