Re: [Bugs + Suggestions]: "The NEW Board Upgrade"
I must say I don't like the new forums at all and it was a big shock to the system when they suddenly appeared the other day with no indication of what had happened (because this thread was hidden). The comments on here cover some of my issues but: 1. No immediate indication of what boards contain n...

Re: MailWasher Pro 7.8 installation issue
If you are using a standard account, during installation you will have switched to the administrator account for the install. If you tell the installer to open MW at the end then it will have opened as that administrator account which won't have access to the settings in your standard (user) account...

Re: Linking MW to Pegasus mail ?
I have no problem linking Pegasus to MW, I have done so for many years. I can't remember if it was listed at the time or whether I had to do anything special but I have it selected as 'use other application' and a big Pegasus icon on the tool bar. In fact I never use the 'Start Mail' button or autom...

Re: MailWasher Pro V7.5.22 still forgets Blacklist Wildcards
Where have you found this new version? - according to the website v7_5_16022015 released in February is the latest version and a check for updates says there are no updates. Note also that the built in help/check for updates only works if you are working with an administrator Windows account - you g...

Re: MailWasher Pro 7.5 0 ?
rmarkwar's confusion may arise from the wording of the thread at the top of this forum - "New MailWasher Pro 7.5.0". Each time there is an update the first line of the first post, and the topic title, are changed to the current latest - but the date of the thread remains as August 2010 which might s...

Re: Unknown error upon mail check
The other day I couldn't access my 1&1 POP3 server due to a routing problem at 1&1 or my ISP. I also got this 'unknown error' with a similar gibberish diagnosis from Mailwasher. My email program (Pegasus Mail) correctly told me that it couldn't connect to the server and had timed out. Maybe the Mail...

Re: Blank emails
Try increasing the number of lines to download under Settings >> General >> Checking...500 is my preference. MailWasher decodes Base64, so it should be displaying the text. Thanks Rusticdog, increasing the checking lines seems to have cured it. I assume this number includes the lines in the header ...

whois lookup
Mailwasher now has a nice feature for whois lookup on any domains found in messages (links and domains). But if the domains are found with a http:// suffix eg http://blogs.com the complete link is passed to whois which fails (no record found) since http:// is not part of the domain - this should be ...

Yes, that is it, followed by a load of gibberish when you look at the source: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 DQogWkIyQ04gQmVydD8gSGVyciBCZXJ0aW4gQnV0eg0KIA0KDQogNzMNCiBBbmR5DQogTTBU VEINCg0KLS0tSW4gQ0RYQ0B5YWhvb2dyb3Vwcy5jb20sIDxtanJ1dHRlbmJlcmdALi4uPiB3 Th...

Re: Blank emails
If you open the preview and scroll to the bottom does the email then appear? I get emails with Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 that are blank in MWP preview, I guess MWP does not decode base64. I have just upgraded from 6.54 to 7.50 and quite pleased with it. But an issue that I have is covered b...

Re: Mailwasher Pro 6.3 in Outlook 2013 will not download ema
First you need to get the right email program configured in Mailwasher. However you can ALWAYS just open Outlook and download your emails, you don't have to open it via Mailwasher. Your second problem is indeed a setting in Outlook to delete mails on server once you have downloaded them. Outlook and...

Re: timeanddate.com
Well cookies ARE required at firetrust.com - how on earth otherwise are you able to login. But I was talking about the timeanddate.com inserted time box - that is what gives me cookies, from free.timeanddate.com. It should not do that anyway as those are third party cookies which I have blocked in m...

timeanddate.com
In recent weeks a new box has appeared at the top of these forums telling me the time and date - it is supplied by timeanddate.com. Apart from the fact that I am hardly interested in what the time is in New Zealand (and it doesn't seem to honour UK time in my control panel settings) I find its black...

Wikipedia Mailwasher article
There is a shortish article about Mailwasher on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mailwasher) which has seen few changes over the past years. It could do with updating, in particular to add details of the new versions. Yesterday somebody attempted to get it deleted on the basis it didn't meet...
