Re: Balloon Notification layout

:scratch I'm at a loss. I've been using MWP since version 1.3 and can't say I've ever seen that. And I can't find where to enable it so hopefully someone else will come along and set us both straight.

Re: Balloon Notification layout

Are you sure it listed individual emails? I have never seen that, and since I had 64 emails come in when I woke my computer this morning, not sure I would want a bubble that big. Instead, the bubble listed each account that had received emails, and how many for each of those accounts. I don't see, o...

Re: Auto Bouncing

Bad idea! Bouncing should only be done to bounce an email back to someone you know personally and you know their email address is valid. It would be much better to just set up a rule to delete their emails. The problem is, spammers never use their own email addresses. To make it worse, they often "s...

Re: auto-bounce?

One problem with bouncing is many ISPs frown upon it and may close your account if done frequently, or even have your email address blacklisted. You don't want that! If you bounce spam you just tell the spammer, that you are alive and getting the spam. Bad idea. It is a bad idea but actually, bounci...

Re: Mail washing.

There are too many variables, with several moving bottlenecks. One of the biggest (or most restrictive) bottleneck is probably the distant end (your mail provider's mail server and connection). Other factors include your connection. And it depends on what is meant by "wash". Deleting those selected ...

Re: Hide EMail Client Button in Toolbar of MailWasher

But unfortunately, disabling this automatic feature does not prevent T-Bird from retrieving emails that MWP has yet to "wash". If T-Bird is fetching emails automatically when you start Windows or when you start T-Bird (or every few minutes after starting T-Bird), those are settings within T-Bird an...

Re: Hide EMail Client Button in Toolbar of MailWasher

I understand what you are asking, but I don't see how that would be more convenient. What I recommend you do is disabling the "check for new email when starting" option in T-Bird. I don't use T-Bird so I don't know the exact verbiage or menu location. But disabling this automatic feature will preven...

Re: Mail Washes Automatically!

Infrequently, MailWasher Pro 7.11.0 will wash an email into my Outlook 2016 inbox. No, MailWasher does not work that way. It does not put mail into Outlook. Outlook is going out to the mail server and getting it. And if instructed to leave the email on the server, MailWasher will see it again. You ...

Re: Can't delete mail that doesn't exitst

Until someone else comes along, I would suggest you "Clear Message List" and see what happens. From the Email drop down menu on the top right, click Clear Message List > Yes, clear grid.

Then tell MW to go check for mail again. Hopefully only those emails still out there will be found.

That's a little melodramatic. No one is going to die here. So is threatening to ring the big cheese a bit melodramatic. Again, I am sure you could easily merger some of those filters. Have a good day.

Re: Spam Tool Settings - Filters run off the page

One would think that it is time to give this problem high priority. But this is not a high priority as it seems to be affecting only a very few people. And most importantly it does not affect security. I dread the next spammer that I can't do anything about especially like one who sends emails usin...

Re: Spam Tool Settings - Filters run off the page

Hmmm, I am using 7.11.5 and I don't see your problem. Have you tried to resize the whole window?

I see the top 16 of my 23 filters and there is a scroll bar I can slide to see bottom listed filters.

Do other Mailwasher screens display properly?

What version of Windows?

Re: Sent today, but arrived yesterday!

Right I see, MailWasher isn't refreshing the Sent column display once the day changes, will add to the list if it's not on there already Hey RD - not sure if related since it was so long ago but this is the "similar" issue I was referring to above. @Phil_A That is in a restricted forum so don't be ...

Re: Sent today, but arrived yesterday!

I have seen similar issues in the past. What happens if you clear then reload the grid (click "Email" > "Clear Message List")? Do the timestamps appear correctly?
