Mail returns after processing unless deleted in Mailwasher
I am running Mailwasher 6.5.4 in conjunction with Outlook 2010. I have upgraded from 4.6 and Outlook express. When I process mail, it is sent to Outlook but is not deleted from Mailwasher. With my old programs, once the mail was processed, it was removed from Mailwasher, now I must select delete to remove each message. After trawling these forums, I have checked for anything on Outlook that might tell mail to stay on the server but can't find anything. My account is a POP account. Any suggestions, i'm sure it is something simple and something that I am doing wrong.

Check the illustration at the following post - you'll be fine.JFA wrote:I have checked for anything on Outlook that might tell mail to stay on the server but can't find anything. My account is a POP account. Any suggestions, i'm sure it is something simple and something that I am doing wrong.

Thank you, that has worked. The picture was of, I think, Outlook 2007. 2010 is slightly different.
For those that follow:
Open Outlook
Select File then Info then Account settings
Highlight your account and select change
Select more settings then the advanced tab
Uncheck "leave a copy of messages on server"

That's actually Outlook 2010 Pro Plus on a tweaked Windows skin - glad the illustration worked for you.JFA wrote:Thank you, that has worked. The picture was of, I think, Outlook 2007. 2010 is slightly different.

If you can tweak Outlook to that extent, perhaps you can tell me how to simplify the way it looks, I really was much happier with Outlook Express, no longer available with Windows 7. I know this is a Mailwasher forum so you don't have to answer. Thanks again for sorting out my problem.

Outlook Express is replaced by Windows Live Mail but you have to download and install it. It does not come as part of Windows 7.

About the Outlook 2010, I have not tweaked it in any way - it's the Windows theme that has been changed (this affects all programs globally, including Outlook.)

No problem at all, once the main business is accomplished - it's quite fine to go off-topic.JFA wrote:I know this is a Mailwasher forum so you don't have to answer. Thanks again for sorting out my problem.
Was brought up on Outlook Express, myself - but, as Pierre mentions very rightly it's been displaced in Windows 7.JFA wrote:If you can tweak Outlook to that extent, perhaps you can tell me how to simplify the way it looks, I really was much happier with Outlook Express, no longer available with Windows 7.
