1. Install the latest v6.5.4 version which you can get at
http://www.firetrust.com/sites/firetrus ... -Setup.exe
2. MailWasher should automatically operate the way that you want. What sort of email account are you using? Some services, e.g. Gmail, have some settings that I think can give the results that you're describing.
Alternatively, you may find that using IMAP to access the account in MailWasher gives better results.

unrestricted 6.5.4, at the following link - it's not the free version (and contains many bug-fixes - going forward from your present 6.5.1)

The version for which I provided the link is just a newer version of v6.5.1 - there are no additional restrictions.
I still think that it would be useful to know the email services that you are using.
