Can't Delete Mail Account

I am trying to delete a mail account from my Mail Washer program. I highlight the email program and click to be removed. Window comes up asking me if I am sure. I click yes. It appears to delete but it's still there the next time I open Mail Washer. How to I get that that email account deleted?

If you possess the required expertise, you may try backing up the following registry key before deleting whichever Account/s you wish to:--

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FireTrust\MailWasher Pro\Prefs\accounts

I removed the account name from that Reg. key. Try again to delete it from Mail Washer but it's still there.

That's really strange - looks like a caching issue, to me.

BTW, which OS are you running - wonder if it's XP.

OK fine, did you restart your system after deleting the Account from the registry?

I have gone through the Reg. and deleted all of the words "Localnet". That is the mail program that I am trying to remove. I also searched my Windows XP and remove all the words "Localnet". That is the ISP that I don't use anymore. It shows up in the "Wizard" where you can add accounts.

I did restart my computer after I edited the Reg.

Just tried removing an Account from the 6.54 on 2 different OS - Windows 7 and the 8.1 (the Account was removed instantly.)

It finally disappeared. The only thing that I did different was to bring up the account and backing off all the information. It's gone now! Why Mail Washer wouldn't remove it, I don't know.

Nice - glad you managed to remove that stubborn A/c (I think it was locked by some background process.)
