Help please re Mailwasher Pro

I recently upgraded from the free version of Mailwasher to Mailwasher Pro.

Since doing this, every time I click on Process Mail, my internet connection goes down. I have tried the following suggestions from the help desk.

For DSL/Cable/LAN (or another always on connection):

In Mailwasher Pro click, Settings>>Connection Options, select, "Assume I'm Online" from the drop down menu there. (This was already selected)

On your PC >> Control panel >> Internet options >> Connections >> ensure that "Never Dial a connection" is selected if avaliable. (This was already selected)

If no good, uncheck, Settings, "Launch email application after processing mail" in MWP and click OK and let me know if that helps? (I Unchecked Launch email application)

None of this has worked. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received, but please don't get too techie with me!!!!
