Running Mailwasher Free 6.5.4- Every time it starts I get the message stated above as my subject, with "The procedure entry point StrTokEx could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86\Outlook Express\wab32.dll" I click on OK and another duplicate box comes up. I click on OK again and Mailwasher starts fine.
How do I correct this? I don't know as anyone will find this since posts I see are quite old, but I hope so.
Thank you,
Ron K

As to the issue, you do use Outlook Express as your email program and have it installed ?

Yes- it's the new version, what you would call the hacked version, I guess. It runs with the newer Windows- 7, 8, 10. I see it mentioned OE and wondered what the connection was.

If you manually go into the folder C:\Program Files (x86\Outlook Express\ is there a wab32.dll file ?

Re: Mailwasher.exe - Entry point not found
it's funny- I use the same version of Mailwasher on Windows 7 and 10 and never ran into this entry point thing until I stared using it on this machine- Windows 8.1. I have Outlook Express installed on those machines, too.

Re: Mailwasher.exe - Entry point not found
Yeah it's used by Windows Address Book. If I recall that version fires up a check every so often to scan WAB to add Friends, but as best as I can tell we didn't add the ability turn that off, not so smart that bit....
I would first look at renaming the wab32.dll to something like wab32.old and place a copy of the same file from a working machine into the folder mentioned earlier. They may be slightly different versions and one is causing MW issue.

That's a thought. I'll try that and see what happens. Thanks.

Well, I did that, but it didn't make any difference.

Re: Mailwasher.exe - Entry point not found
OK. I think we need to go back versions until we find one that isn't scanning the WAB file, unfortunately it's not 100% clear to me from the change logs which version that was.
I would try this one first https://s3.amazonaws.com/Firetrust/Mail ... e_6_51.exe
Just uninstall >> keep data >> install the above.

One question- will that delete emails from the server? That's what I want to happen.

All MailWashers delete the emails from the server. Is there another problem ?RKelly5327 wrote:One question- will that delete emails from the server? That's what I want to happen.
