Mow your lawns? We're just seeing ours turning green from all the rain. We got off pretty easy this winter, but not like last winter. Last winter was the first time in my 82 years that I never even lifted a snow shovel one time! Amazing- Williamsport, PA. :-)
Go mow, lad. Go mow.

Well, I tried that, same thing happened. I tried several others, same thing happened. Right now I'm running 2.0.28 beta and it's running okay. ???

Nice :) We are heading a slightly warmer, possibly wetter winter. At least that's what the boffins predict.

There's a blast from the past :)

Do you know if you tried 5.3 ? I have a download link for MW Pro however, not Free, but could be worth a shot.

I don't see that in my list. I'll download it. I think I have 5.1.0. I'll try that too. I'm not able to do much financially at all any more. The 2.0.28 beta seems to be running okay but it's pretty limited.

Guess what. Yup, you guessed it. The Pro53 does the same thing and so did the 5.1.0. Really weird.

Alright, so I guess we are reaching a point where you either stick with preferred version and tolerate error, or if 2.0.28 does the job, then that'll work.

You got a link for me to download this version of Outlook Express somewhere ? Might give it a try and see if I can get the issue reproducing on one of my test machines.

At this point I'm just sort of checking things out to see which will work with Windows 8.1- at least on my machine. It may not do that at all on other machines. Of course O.E. is the issue, or so it seems. I downloaded the new one- 7.11.0 and that's running fine.
The link for the 'new' or hacked O.E. is https://runasxp.com/. You have to pay to get it to fully work. I can send you a key, but it may be tied to my name. I have it running on all versions of Windows. Windows 10 has knocked it for a loop at different times when it updates, so it pays to know where its Store is so you can install it again and get to its messages. It's faster than OE Classic and works great, but OE Classic is being updated all the time and the support is great.

No need to send me a key, will give it a shot on my Win8 box.

The new one I just tried- 7.11.0, does not delete the emails from the server. It says Syncing is only available in the Pro version, so back to the beta one I go- 2.28.0. These older Free ones do delete from the server.

No it's still the same, ignore the Synch...that's for synchronising data between the mobile version.

OH- it didn't delete the emails on the server, though. It deleted them in the inbox, but when I started OE Classic, they all downloaded into that. I gotta go. Be back later.

OK, at a guess you want to change the account type under Settings >> Accounts >> select the Incoming tab >> switch the IMAP/POP type at the top >> Save.

I did set it at POP, so it's all set. I did delete some junk and it didn't show up in the emails. but the next time it did show up in the emails. I think it takes a while longer than I was allowing it, to delete the emails on the server.
