error message using Mailwasher free

I am getting an error message when I click the check mail icon, "The connection to the incoming server was reset, check your connection." This is a pc with Windows XP, isp is att yahoo. I have a network with a wired Linksys router and two computers. Is there any way to bypass this problem. They both have good connections to the internet.

Are you using POP to get your mail? If so try the following steps.

Try switching off your firewall and virus program and do a mail check, if it works you just need to add MW to their lists of allowed programs.

If it still doesn't work go back and check all your account data to make sure there are no leading or trailing spaces.

If that doesn't work you might want to try capturing an extended log, let us know if that is needed and someone will take you through it.
