Hi, Using Mailwasher 6.1.1.18 selecting emails for deletion, then process mail. MW is not deleting the selected emails and is sending to my outlook express. Can anyone tell me why? I hv bn using MW for years, and loving it, but this latest problem is driving me bonkers. Thanks

First MW does not send e-mail anywhere, it looks at it on the server and either leaves it there or deletes it.

First, does the mail marked for deletion disappear from the MW display when you press process mail?

If you do a second mail check without your mail client being started is the mail you deleted still there?
(you may need to untick "launch e-mail program after processing" in the tools - options screen)

If the mail is still there you have a MW issue, if it is gon you have a mail program issue.

If it is the mail program having problems it is most likely that yo have not told it to not check e-mail automatically, either at startup or at some set interval.

Thanks Stan
Firstly MW does not delete when I tell it to. The messages are still there.
Second, I hv already unchecked the launch after processing, simply because it was not processing my request for deletion.
I'm assuming there is a slight prob with MW, so shld I perhaps remove the program and try re-installing?
cheers :?:

If you decide to reinstall you really should get a more current version, use the link on the www.firetrust.com site to get the latest version.

The other thing you could do with your current version is collect a log file for a mail check zip it and fire it off to support at firetrust.com and let them have a look at it. There are instructions there on collecting the log so it has all the needed information.

Best would be to get the current version, test it and if it doesn't fix the problem then send in the log file.
