Spam deleted from Mailwasher still showing up in Thunderbird

I just started using Spamwasher and I have noticed that in the morning after I go through my mail on Spamwasher and mark all the spam messages and delete them. After I open Thuderbird (manually), the same spam messages I deleted from Spamwasher are showing up in my inbox on Thunderbird?
