Error connecting with SSL in MailWasher Pro 6.5.4

Dear MailWasher Community,
I have been using MailWasher Pro 6.5.4 for many years without a problem. Since yesterday I get an error if I try to check my Bigpond account via pop.telstra.com. I use SSL encryption on port 995 as specified here. It works fine with Thunderbird 60.5.0 but when I try to check my account for SPAM in MailWasher I get the error message: "Error connecting with SSL". I have tried to uncheck the UIDL command support or leave it in place and check Use RETR. But both settings produced the same error. I have attached a screenshot of the Thunderbird settings & another one with MailWasher settings but obfuscated the user account name.
I am looking forward to your suggestions.
