Error connecting with SSL in MailWasher Pro 6.5.4

Dear MailWasher Community,

I have been using MailWasher Pro 6.5.4 for many years without a problem. Since yesterday I get an error if I try to check my Bigpond account via pop.telstra.com. I use SSL encryption on port 995 as specified here. It works fine with Thunderbird 60.5.0 but when I try to check my account for SPAM in MailWasher I get the error message: "Error connecting with SSL". I have tried to uncheck the UIDL command support or leave it in place and check Use RETR. But both settings produced the same error. I have attached a screenshot of the Thunderbird settings & another one with MailWasher settings but obfuscated the user account name.

I am looking forward to your suggestions.

As of today, my wife has experienced the very same problem with her Mailwasher 6.5.4 connecting to bigpond.net.au

I have enabled logging in MailWasher Pro 6.5.4 and attached the session log.txt file. It looks like MailWasher is running into a EIdOSSLConnectError Indy error. :oops:

I have the feeling Indy won't support newer versions of TLS/SSL (see also here).

Is the only way to upgrade to MailWasher 7.11.10?

I have since upgraded to MailWasher Pro 7.11.10. All fine now.

The old MailWasher used OpenSSL DLLs from 2006. Scary!
