I trust that I won't have to purchase the latest version (I am a registered/licensed user).

The only secure computer is one that's unplugged, locked in a safe, and buried 20 feet under the ground in a secret location... and I'm not even too sure about that one

No issues upgrading, if you aren't a beta forum member here you can PM rustic dog and get access if you are a tester.
The upgrades to 6.3 is free, it should just load and run with no problems. Do make sure your old version isn't running when you install.
