I've been using MW for so long, I've forgotten some of the basics.

This is my layout (smooth, like me): This is wife's layout: I want to do the right thing and eliminate those white "+" lines. Suggestions welcome please.

Looks like it has somehow grouped by Subject. If you right click over the Subject column heading, uncheck Group By .... that will remove those lines.
