After yesterday's W11 upgrade (may 10th), Mailwasher will no longer start. Error messages says,
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000135). Click OK to close"
Any solution for this?
I have restarted the PC and no luck there so I uninstalled and reinstalled MW. It still gives the same message.

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
Try running a .NET Repair, takes around 10 minutes.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30135
If that still fails, try going into C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher and delete startup.xml and try again.

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
I tried the .NET repair - no luck with that. Then it got interesting.
Two updates were released on May 10th:
Net Framework KB5013628
Windows 11 UD KB5013943
I uninstalled both and rebooted the PC. On restart Mailwasher was working again (temporary Yayyy!!!)
I then reinstalled Net Framework Update KB5013628.
Rebooted PC.
On restart Mailwasher was back again.
Then I reinstalled W11 Update KB5013943
Rebooted PC.
Back came the "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000135). Click OK to close" massage for two programs. Mailwasher was one. ArmouryswAgent was the other.
Uninstalled KB5013943 again and I've got Mailwasher back, but am being nagged to install the W11 Update again.

OK, it does seem like this is known issue with the update.
Resetting .NET may do the trick, you can check out this link for details

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
I looked at the Tech Advisor link.
It shows how to turn off the NET Framework update ( which was not an issue), but it doesn't help with the W11 Security Update KB5013943 which causes the 0xc0000135 failure with Mailwasher. So, for now, I have uninstalled the update and hope that a fix will soon be in the pipeline. How's that for eternal optimism.

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
Today Mailwasher 7 all the sudden Now fails to start for me. I tried everything on this page, nothing works, all just a waste of time trying.
Then I found the "MWPImportUtil.exe" file and after executing & restoring my settings everything worked fine, back up & running now.
File location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Firetrust\MailWasher\MWPImportUtil.exe

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
I have the same problem - MailWasher fails to start.
I located the exe file you suggested, but how do I use it? It asks for a location to import from.

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
As of this morning my Mailwasher Pro keeps quitting to the desktop, it loads, gets emails from outlook, but before any spam checking / filtering is carried out, it just crashes / quits. No error messages, nothing, just quits. It worked fine yesterday, I don't think there were any windows updates, there doesn't appear to be any when I check windows update.
I've tried doing .Net repair thing with the download from Microsoft, no change.
Tried deleting the startup.xml file, again no change there, still just quits.
Outlook itself works fine, gets emails.
Any suggestions?

Re: Mailwasher 7 now fails to start
I discovered that my issue was related to something in the Yahoo account JUNK folder. When I cleared that folder using theYahoo mobile mail client and then ran MWP it doesn't crash. So for now I have un-selected the Yahoo JUNK folder in MWP IMAP settings so MWP won't try to evaluate any emails in that folder.
