Deleting Gmail from server

I have two email accounts in MailWasher 6.5.1, one POP and one Gmail account. When I delete mail on Mailwasher and then launch MS Outlook the POP mail is gone but the Gmail still downloads in to Outlook. Why is the Gmail not being deleted at the server?
