Currently I have 750 unread message on my Smasun Galaxy and 749 of them are spam. I use Mailwasher but Outlook for Android downloads them before I can wash them. There's no way to turn of auto sync in Outlook, so does any one know an alternative that has manual sync?
I want to ... 1) use Mailwasher to get rid of spam 2) read the resulting "good" emails (leaving them on the pop server) 3) reply or create a message and send it.
Is there an Android mail app that doesn't sync automatically?

I totally understand your frustration with spam! It sounds like you're looking for a more manual approach to managing your email. One option you might consider is using a mail client like K-9 Mail, which allows manual syncing and gives you more control over your inbox. This way, you can use Mailwasher to filter out spam before downloading any emails. Good luck with your spam creation

Thanks - I've now converted to K9-Mail and it's very good
