Hi everyone.
I hope I'm posting my question in the correct forum section. As some of you are aware, Microsoft will require oauth login as of 9/16/2024. I did search the forums and read the related questions/comments regarding the oauth issues but I still can't figure it out.
I downloaded the MailWasher trial version a few days ago, added my Hotmail/Outlook credentials with TLS/SSL and it is working but randomly. I'm trying to switch to oauth but after I click on MS Outlook logo in the settings of MW, the popup screen is blank and I find the instructions on that screen really vague. Please see the attached image.
I'm not sure what I need to do to grant access to MailWasher.
Thanks

Re: Microsoft Web Outlook Oauth not working
Yes, usually that means you don't have the edge webviewer2 app installed on your PC, so MW tries to send you a webpage to sign into manually....
I'd try installing the webviewer app, restart your PC and see if that works? first, ensure you have MWPro 7.15.10 from here: https://www.firetrust.com/products/mail ... o/download
If you did not, try again now? if still no, or you already had this, install webviewer from here: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703
Restart your PC afterwards then try again....?
See this post for how to setup if unsure:

Re: Microsoft Web Outlook Oauth not working
Wow, thank you so much Gingbat. I would've never guessed it was the evil Edge webviewer. Ever since Microsoft unleashed it, they use it to display useless ads in every app, so I clobbered and uninstalled Edge and the viewer completely. I just installed the lastest Edge and was able to create the Oauth creds. Everything is working. Thanks agains.

Yes, really not sure if the webviewer app itself is the problem, or it's just the portal everything else uses to display their ads.... (possibly like blaming computers for spam)?
Good to hear that worked out all the same though!
