Spam emails from my own email address to me?

Hi, This is my first ever posting on any website so I'm not even sure if I'm in the right place to be asking this question. Apart from all the other spam I am receiving I am getting spam that appears to be from my own email address. I want to know how this is possible because I don't want to black list myself. If anyone knows how to fix this I would appreciate the advice.

Well you are in the wrong spot, you need to go down the list a bit to get to the forum for your version of MW and post your questions there.

Spammers love to forge your e-mail address onto messages they send just so they can get past your blocklist or get you to block yourself.

Both versions of MW have slightly different ways of dealing with this, a filter does it well in either version.
