Edit:—

• Oops, it was my security system — this Board now requires XHR to be permitted.

Disabling cookies for the site . . . . . . now, affects a little bit of functionality — ouch!

The Board also needs to now, be allowed to download Remote Web Fonts (in realtime) — unfortunately, all these latest Boards, default to this new dependency which like XHR and Cookies could be exploited as a potential vulnerability.

The BBCode Syntax for centering text fails!

Some old school changes from Sentence Case to Title Case:—

Made some more minor customizations for my personal use:—

• Changed a few titles from Sentence Case to old school Title Case.
• Changed some Orange colors to the Charcoal ones, conforming to the Board theme.
• Changed the color of the Caption Bar.
• Added contrast to the body as per the Board theme.
• Saved precious vertical real estate space at a couple of places.
• Stripped-off a tab and a menu which I do not use on a frequent basis.
• Stripped-off the chunk of instructional text which I don't really need.

Encapsulated the Post + Signature within a narrow white strip — this causes the post to pop and also to segregate the Avatar + Details, resulting in leading the eye to the visually-highlighted contents (of the post.)

This one has been resolved by rusticdog — at root level.

While I'm STILL not fan of the Gray Theme, I'll give you a two thumbs for these changes as they're better than the "Before". Now to get them on the Board Proper.

Like the shading of the Primary Post Text but prefer the balance of the formatting (Spacing and Justification) to stay as it was in the "Before".

The Spacing in the "Before" separates the various components of the Whole Post BETTER and makes each portion easier to visually distinguish. Squishing (vertically) each individual component of the entire post is one thing and that's fine, but squishing the whole thing together makes it difficult to differentiate between one part and the next (even WITH the shading).

And AFA the Justification is concerned, I simply prefer "Left-Justified" in this scenario better than I like "Centered", but that's JM2c.

I'm still not done with the signature — some look better, some just don't.

Not sure what algorithm the Board uses — to me, the listing under Active Topics looks way out of mark.

Yeah, Active Topics are set per forum. From what I can see, it's disabled for every forum except HideAway. I disabled that and now it comes up blank, unless I'm logged in.

Is Active Topics something useful ? My inclination is to just switch it off.

Nah, Active Topics AFAIC is not important, at all — just happened to click it by mistake.

RE: The "Active Topics" biz ...

I agree. AFAICT it serves no "real" useful purpose. Would also be good if the "Active Topics" link were removed in the process. The "Notifications" dropdown serves a more useful one since it takes the User directly to the threads in the various forums that they have subscribed to.

There is one thing that could use some work though, the "Notifications" List always seem to drop me at the very bottom of the respective Forum (requiring me to scroll UP to see the posts) instead of at the "oldest unread post" WITHIN that Forum like the previous version of the Forum software did. Having to do the scrolling makes me try and guess which post was the last one I read (i.e. Has only one post been made since I last read the thread or have there been several????) instead of being dropped on it as was the previous case.

Would very much appreciate being dropped in the respective Forum with the oldest unread post being at the top of my tab/screen as was the old versions habit.

Got the unread icon changed and altered colour slightly, let me know if something different is preferred. It's not like you don't have a lot of choices http://fontawesome.io/cheatsheet/
