Since changing ISP"S and creating a new email address, mailwasher does not clear messages from the message field after washing, and going to mail client which is thunderbird. This is to done automatically when mail was washed but now I have to clear them by deleting. When I open mailwasher it is somewhat confusing as read email is still there and I have to work out what is old and new email. Could some one help please?

Most likely, for your new account, Thunderbird is set to leave messages on the server.

If you go to Tools - Account Settings... - Server Settings you can uncheck "Leave messages on server", and things will be back the way you want them.
