User control panel problem

Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:27 pm

If I click board preferences in the user control panel I get this error:

General Error
Language file acp_syndication.php couldn't be opened.

I cannot get into board preferences for this error.

Sadly I'm too dumb when it comes to this kind of stuff, so we have one overworked Sys Admin to take care of this stuff. The problem I think was caused by the RSS feed we added, but there are fixes posted to correct this, just a matter of him being able to find the time.

Luckily NZ weather at the moment sucks ass...can I say that ? ....it's not raining yet but it's supposed to later, so that will keep him indoors and maybe on the computer :).....that will make it the 8th ? Saturday in a row that there has been rain I think....with more rain forecast Sun-Wed

I could have told your weather was going to be up the creek. We send it over to you.

And I am still not receiving email notifications. I just log in and see what is new. :|

Yes, I have unsubscribed from all notification and then subscribed again. Checked FAQ's as well and came up with an interesting point. How does one subscribe to a complete forum instead of just a topic. It told me how but I can't work it out. Am I dumb or something? (Don't answer that)

Go to the Topic you want to subscribe to and on the very bottom left of the page you will see a Subscribe Forum link, a checkbox icon shows if you have subscribed threads in that topic, but that's isn't no clickable.

Yes, found all them but still no emails. Methinks you may have to kill me off and I will have to re-register.

I clicked the forum subscribe button after reading the posts here, and just got a notification of the above post. Maybe it's browser related? I'm using Seamonkey (Mozilla) with noscripts turned off.

I'll screw around with your profile a bit first, as if others find themselves in the same situation we need to understand why it might happen.

I created a new thread under your name Pierre (in Freedom Farms) and replied to it, the topic reply came through as expected. So we at least know it works for that, but I don't seem to be getting the replies from threads you are already subscribed to, will keep digging.
