Ok, where do I find these Avatars? I've searched the site and just can't seem to find them.

From your User Control Panel >> Profile >> Edit Avatar you can do this.

Danke. I had to find it on my other Forum website (dslreports.com ), then saved it to my pictures on my pc, then uploaded it to here.
It's the 'Bird of Paradise' flower. First saw it as a child living in San Francisco (at the SF Conservatory in Golden Gate Park), and have always loved the looks of it.
BTW, I thought there were some avatars here...on this site...that we could choose from, but I guess the wording should have read something differently.

Yeap, down the bottom where you can set your own image, there is a "Display Gallery" button which displays the ones we have added to this site. For whatever reason it doesn't show these by default

I've got that button, just didn't think of clicking on it.
I looked at those avatars...I like mine better.
