Nothing says success like a fancy forum rank. Imagine people being able to place on their resume that they've attained the rank of "Village Idiot", on a second rate forum. They'll be climbing the corporate ladder in no time.
As with any online community though, a post count may not mean much to some folk, so I think there is inherent benefits in providing at least some other measure in gauging a persons involvement in that community, so long as the ranks make sense.
I'll probably start out with some basics, and we can always tweak from there.
