I just downloaded Mailwasher but when clicking on 'check mail' nothing shows' up.

Does the Event Log light up when you check for messages ? You could just send yourself a test message, do a Check Mail in MailWasher and see if it loads.

At a guess though, there is a setup issue and MailWasher is unable to access the account, so under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> check the username and password details are correct for the account.

If it's for the GMail account, you need to be sure Less Secure Apps is turned on here https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps

Or probably better, create an App Password, this is a special password to use in MailWasher and you main password stays the same
