Forum text query
If I want to post a reference to a forum thread, I only know how to insert a link to the thread itself using the text marker format. Can someone please explain for me how I should go about creating a link to a specific posting within the thread? Thanks

Copy this!
In most forums, there will be a number for that particular post. This forum does not seem to work that way. But you can still do what you want. Right click on the subject of the post and select copy shortcut and paste that in your post. See where my post subject is "Copy this!"? Try it.

I usually open up another Firetrust Forum in another tab, go to the post I wish to copy, right click, copy and paste it in the post I wish to place it in the original tab. Make sense???????

Unless I misunderstood, I think he knew the mechanics of posting links, but he wanted to be able to post the link to a specific post within a thread of many posts.

What is wrong with using the quick link to the post?
The little block ahead of the by Username, click it and the post becomes the one with the forum focus and the URL in the address-bar changes to reflect that. Also a right-click and "copy link location" will grab it into the clipboard.

It does, thanks, though I managed my successful attempt above without opening up a new forum tab.Pierre wrote:I usually open up another Firetrust Forum in another tab, go to the post I wish to copy, right click, copy and paste it in the post I wish to place it in the original tab. Make sense???????

Probably copy shortcut, not sure as I don't let IE do anything but Windows updates here.
