I've searched all over the interent (including MS) and can't find an answer. Maybe someone here has experienced this.
After upgrading to W7, I installed Windows Live Mail to replace OE. I have unchecked everything I can find to turn off automatic checking for new mail. It seems to hve a mind of its own and checks every once in a while for no apparent reason. it always checks when coming out of hibernation.
Mailwasher will notify me that there is new mail, but when I open Live Mail, it's already there, which defeats the purpose of Mailwasher. I cant' find any forum or MS Help that indicates anyone else has had this problem.

Re: Windows Live Mail
Lots of folks reporting issues with the new Windows mail, you might drop down to the Mailwasher forum and look through the posts there to see if any have any suggestions.
Me, I'd just say heck with all the surprises from Windows mail and download a copy of Thunderbird.

Re: Windows Live Mail
Thanks. I tried searching the forums but not much came up. I had thought about Thunderbird as an alternative.
