Hi, I seem unable to persuade MW to actually delete any emails without my processing. I want it to delete any email that is sent to me from anyone other than on my friends list that includes the word Viagra. All my parts work fine and I am willing to risk losing a vital email from a non-friend about their experiences with Viagra! But MW just seems to flag them despite my saying Automatically in the filter. Isn't there a way any longer to make it actually delete such things?
Thanks,
Phil

Does the status column show the name of your filter?
Is the line the spam is shown on in the grid colored green?

I am not a Firetrust employee just a MW user.

Yes. It shows the name of the filter which includes a delete immediately command and the line is colored green. Does that help?
Thanks a lot for any further help you can offer.

Re: Actually automatically deleting an email
The status means the filter hit, the green means the learning tool overrode the delete command.
If you haven't trained your learning tool you need to do so to improve its accuracy. If you have trained it with a couple hundred good and spam messages but it is still getting a lot of messages wrong after that it may have a data file corruption problem and need the training directory deleted with MW closed. You can also just turn it off but it is the most accurate tool in MW when it is working right so that is a last resort.
The good news is the override situation is done very differently in the next version and it should be much easier to figure out what is happening.
