Before installing IE 8 I was always able to open my MW Pro 6.3 and press F5 to retrieve my email. Now MW says, "The computer currently has no connection to the internet and MailWasher Pro is unable to create one." But... if I go to network connections and click on my ISP icon (I have dial up), it will start dialing up and then I can get MW to check email.
This happens if I try to bring up any other webpage w/o first clicking on my ISP icon. I finally put a shortcut to it on my desktop. What happened??

My MW is working fine again since I reverted back to IE 7. I also decided to switch to FireFox browser.
