Re: Auto Start in Win10
First from MailWasher check under Settings >> General >> Application >> check 'Launch when Windows starts up' is selected.
Then from Windows 10 search, type Startup and look for Startup Apps, is MailWasher on the list and set to ON ?

How odd.
If you also right click on your Taskbar and select task Manager >> under the Startup tab, I take it MailWasher is there and also flagged Enabled ?
Is there just that one MailWasher entry in the list ?

Re: Auto Start in Win10
I wonder if you have another program blocking the startup.
A quick fix might be to right click on your MailWasher desktop shortcut, select Copy, then go into
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
And paste a copy of the shortcut into there.

Re: Auto Start in Win10
I have Malwarebytes and ESet NOD32, I turned off MB and added every exclusion to be found in NOD32 for the Mailwasher .exe...still a no go.

Re: Auto Start in Win10
OK, neither of those programs have startup management features that I know of.
It could be possible that MailWasher is starting, but somehow hidden. Check under Settings >> General >> Application >> make sure Start MailWasher Minimised is not checked. Also make a note of the Restore hotkey, it should be CTRL + SHIFT + M
Restart the machine, assuming MailWasher does not appear to start from the minimised option, then press the hotkey combination noted earlier, see if MailWasher then appears.
If not, try a .NET Repair, this takes roughly 10 minutes.

Re: Auto Start in Win10
OK, back in
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Right click the shortcut and select Properties >> under Compatibility check the option to Run As Administrator >> OK.
Also I assume trying to start MailWasher by running from this shortcut works all OK, just the startup failing.
If you are familiar with the Registry Editor, if you navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Then on the right, what is the startup folder listed, I would expect it to be
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Right click the shortcut and select Properties >> under Compatibility check the option to Run As Administrator >> OK.

In the Reg...I'm ablt to drill to the entry "Startup", but there is no mention of Mailwasher though.
Oh, and yes, I'm able to manually start the program and it works fine.

In the AppData folder, the run as Admin option is blanked out, can't check it.rusticdog wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 12:07 pmOK, back in

Re: Auto Start in Win10
OK, try instead going into the MailWasher program folder, which will be something like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Firetrust\MailWasher
Right click on the MailWasherPro.exe select Properties >> under Compatibility check the option to Run As Administrator >> OK.
