Mailwasher 6.3

Postby Gardner193 Mon Oct 27, 2008 12:25 am

Ever since I downloaded the new Mailwasher 6.3, the program has forgotten half of my blacklisted entries. Should I try to go back to version 6.1?

Thanks.

Blacklisting is of little use these days with spammers making up or stealing addresses to use on their spam instead of using their real address.

If you look at your settings for the blacklist you might find that the retention is shorter than it used to be. Usually anything more than a week is wasted effort since the spammer has moved on to a new address within hours of sending the first spam.

If you lost some off the end of the list it might be that something on your computer (file scanner?) is causing problems if you exit Windows with MW still running.

Thanks for the good reviews with Windows 8. I am now thinking of switching from 7 to 8.
