Hi
I just want to check that when downloading mail into mailwasher the fact that the email is displayed in the preview pane does not mean that it can be detected by spammers as having been read?

No, the preview pane shows the email that is still sitting on your server (ISP). It has not been downloaded to your PC till you tell it so.
