Wouldn't it be great - if all users of mailwasher held onto their junk mail for a few months... and then at the same exact time bounced them all. I know for myself that would be thousands of emails.... Not sure if it would do anything.. .but it would be nice to think so. I have noticed that Outlook.com changes the links on my emails and I think I read (long time ago) that they check the links for safety. So, what I am wondering is this.
Some emails use individualized links to specific graphics so that when you open them... they trigger an alert that your specific email has been opened and the link clicked on.
In doing so, that would only encourage more junk mail. Which sucks.

Re: Wouldn't it be great?
Where is that quote from?
No, it would not be great. It would be bad for several reasons.
1. It would flood the internet with spam just contributing to the spam problem.
2. Many ISPs don't allow bouncing so they would bounce right back in MWP users faces.
3. Many ISPs prohibit bouncing so, with that many, it could result in those users getting banned by their own ISPs.
4. And perhaps most importantly, essentially all spam uses spoofed returned email addresses. This means the bounce will never get back to the spammer and worse, might go back to an innocent user whose address was stolen.
So no, it would not be nice at all. Don't do it.
