Wasn't too bad, though I'm still well numb, with the infection in the tooth it took quite a bit of anaesthetic....and a bit is twisting.....and a bit of reshaping needed to be done on the tooth to pull it out properly.....
well here ya go
enjoy.....

photo makes me look ginger
be a couple of weeks before it heals up, might get infected during that....but compared to root canal costs, I'd rather have the bastard thing pulled

No resemblance to your avatar I'll note.

Re: My trip to the Dentist....
You were doing some Ninja editing their Ike, post changed twice that I saw.
And yeah, a fella named Kevin fired me some that he'd built up. There was no easy way I could see to add a 'smiley pack' into the forums, so this made it easier. He sent after we sent the 'Firetrust takes trade' newsletter. Actually it's great to see the response we got to that.
Though I must admit, I didn't use them all, the first one (which I opened at random) was called 'ass to mouth', I realised this after I saw it. I'll leave it up to you and your imagination as to what the smilies were up to.

Re: My trip to the Dentist....
You mean someone about to roll the dice ?
or doing stretches against the Monty Python foot ?
Stretching is a very important issue, and warming-up before playing sport prepares the mind, heart, muscles and joints for the upcoming event. It improves performance, helps players get mentally prepared and is a great step towards injury prevention.
Seriously though, anyone taking offence to that needs to lighten up.
I can't get a decent shot for day two of the Dentist visit, for some reason the web cam is all pixelated...but there's no pain or discomfort, some slight inflammation. Guess that means I should head into the office.

OK those could be taken as such .... unless one were to do a mouse-over and a whole new connotation is brought to light.

I should think it would be an easy thing to rename the icons.Ikeb wrote:OK those could be taken as such .... unless one were to do a mouse-over and a whole new connotation is brought to light.

Yet they are highly provocative and could result in flame responses.

Re: My trip to the Dentist....
Renaming is a good idea, will do that soon.
Flame wars are inevitable, so I guess with some better icons I can at least get a laugh out of it.
On a more important note, my tooth hole is a bit more swollen today, hope it's not getting infected. Especially as today is Friday, and we all know what that means. They did suggest drinking could cause bleeding, but thankfully gave me some gauze.....In fact, I'm pretty sure using imagery I can show you my night....

Take good care of your clot until the entire top goes from dark to pink or you will get to experience a dry socket. No alcohol, no chewey or sticky foods, no straws or sucking on anything.
If you are curious what a dry socket feels like just drill a 5 mm hole in either kneecap.

I have just finished a course of Antibiotics for the initial infection, don't know how long they stay in the system, but that may help, also still have a whole bunch of Codeine as well that I never needed to take (as the Antibiotics seemed to kick in quickly). There was no real bleeding when the tooth was pulled, and been hardly any since, so the clot formed quickly and isn't leaking.
I can't find a smiley for Dry Socket though, so I can only assume it won't be part of the weekend activities
Re: My trip to the Dentist....
OK, Dry Sockets were never mentioned and after reading, sounds painful. Lots of things can cause them though that were never mentioned, straws, hot drinks....smoking was mentioned, but graciously ignored. I've been pretty aggressive with my salt water rinses though, making sure the salt water is being pushed into the hole and sort of a mouth vacuuming action so it swishes through...........I'll certainly stop doing that and be more gentlestan_qaz wrote:Take good care of your clot until the entire top goes from dark to pink or you will get to experience a dry socket.
