Big one for me: Do Not fix any Windows system for anybody, for any reason.**
That is one step up from last year's: Do not fix any Windows system for anyone but mom.
Mom is now 86 and using Linux, happy as can be with no Anti-virus, spybot, adaware, defrag and all the other stuff that was driving her to tears trying to keep the computer cootie free.
------------------------
** I don't leave them stuck though, I give them a Live CD version of Linux so they can still use their computer until they can get someone to fix it for them.
