Hi,
I am testint mailwasher and its working like a charm...
however i have 2 questions...
1.
When I do a MXToolbox check on my IP I see:
220 mail.server.com Mailwasher Enterprise Server (MWES) version 3.0.0.9 {W} [703 ms]
I would like to change/remove the text "Mailwasher Enterprise Server (MWES) version 3.0.0.9 {W} [703 ms]"
How can I do that?
2. The MXToolbozx sayes:
SMTP Server Disconnected - May be an open relay.
Is this correct?
I have added my only domains
I use windows version :-)
please help

Re: Change greetings text?
Hi
1. If you can change your MTA FQDN message then MWES can use that instead.
Go to the Windows Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Firetrust Limited\mwes
Add this key
use_mta_connection_message=1
Restart MWES after doing so.
2. MWES won't hold on to the connection, it will disconnect if it doesn't get an answer in time so as to not tie up connections.
Regards
Nick

Re: Change greetings text?
Hi Nick,
Cool, the "use_mta_connection_message" is working..
Will it be possible to "set" any other text?
(sometimes hackers are looking for what system you have, and I think it can be nice to give them some wrong info)
:-)
