We have MailWasher Enterprise installed and running with all of our domains and domain alias' added. On some of the domains when we send an email we get an immediate Postmaster return with the following error:
"DATA command generated response:
250 ok its for <wendy@MWESserver.com>"
This message does not show up anywhere in the MWES system by search but when I check the log files I do see the following:

Re: After installation mail can't be sent to some domains
Does anyone have any ideas on this issue? We would like to implement this on 3 servers total but I need to be able to send email to all users and all domains on the server.

Have sent the logs to some colleagues, so will come back to you. It's 6:30am here in New Zealand, so we'll get back to you when people are in the office.

I think you already sent it to us, so I've sent that to some colleagues for their input.

The last line shows the client disconnects from MWES after MWES/MTA sends back the "."
Basically there is not a-lot we can do if the client closes the socket when MWES requests the DATA from them.

I just don't understand how this can happen only on a few domains on the server. 287 domains on the server and I can email most of them fine but just a hand full have this issue.

Re: After installation mail can't be sent to some domains
I did a little more testing today and have found that I am unable to send mail to these domains only from my other email servers that reside on the same /20.
So if I email from my account which resides on IP 66.235.108.12 (Another server in the same datacenter as the server with MWES) to a domain on the MWES server that resides on 66.235.109.56 I get this error. I tried on another server (we have 3 mailservers in this DC) and I get the same error, but outside the datacenter like Gmail the messages make it just fine.
I went into the MWES admin and added the internal IP, external IP, mail domain IP all to the whitelist but we still can't get mail from one server to the MWES server.

Ok, I'm not quite following this, but do you think MWES is at fault here?

Re: After installation mail can't be sent to some domains
Well without MWES running I can email from the other servers without any issues. I am wondering if MWES is having a problem since the emails coming from the other servers are on the same subnet and IP range.

Re: After installation mail can't be sent to some domains
I know there's an issue when sending to/from mail servers when both are running Exchange 2013 (hence we don't support Exchange 2013 yet), but this doesn't appear to be the case for you since you mentioned you're running 2003. Let me get some feedback from other colleagues.

Hi Nick, we are not running Exchange Server. All 3 of our servers run Imail.

Re: After installation mail can't be sent to some domains
As there is no mail transported/accepted, MWES won’t keep a record of it.
The SMTP channel disconnects abruptly before the message can be accepted/transferred.
Can you check the logs of iMail for further information as to why it disconnected?

Re: After installation mail can't be sent to some domains
I installed MWES one of my other mail servers as well and it then presents the same problem where I can't send mail to that server from my server (Imail not running MWES).
I was also unable to send email between 2 servers that were both running Imail and MWES.
Starting to look like MWES is not compatible with Imail.
