I decided to install the release of MailWasher Enterprise.
Install seems fine. I can login to the account.
However, no e-mails show as being received on the monitor. I cannot bring up any received e-mails in quarantine.
I see no options. What could be wrong?
Thanks,
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
Have you installed the conduit (if you're using Exchange) go to Start>>Program Files>>MaiLWasher Enterprise Server>>Install the MS Excahnge mail conduit,
Or if using Linux - the sendmail interface?
eg:
Edit /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and add the following
INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`mailwasher_server', `S=unix:/opt/mwes/mpd.sock, F=T, T=S:60s;R:60s')dnl define(`confINPUT_MAIL_FILTERS', `mailwasher_server')dnl
then rebuild mc file to create cf file.
Also edit /etc/mwes.conf
# milter specific defines
milter_port=unix:/opt/mwes/mpd.sock

Re: Installed, but monitor shows 0 messages
I did install the mail conduit. Not messages show up as being processed.
I have re-installed a couple of times. So far with the same results.
I have tried using localhost:4044 as well as fso.mmolaw.com:4044.
I am not sure what else to do.
Thanks

Hi Ralph,
If there are no emails being shown in the monitor it shows Mailwasher is not scanning any. After installing MWE did you notice any issues in email sending/receiving? Did you confirm MWES service is running?
Cheers

Hi
Are you receiving e-mails via smtp?
The conduit only works through smtp queue.
If you're using pop queue it will never get to MailWasher Enterprise.
Feel free to zip up your log files, including the conduit logs (in the install directory) and send them to me at nick.bolton@firetrust.com so we can take a closer look if you like.

Re: Installed, but monitor shows 0 messages
Hmm that's not great that it doesn't support the POP3 connector but fails to mention this anywhere! It really should be listed in the system requirements section for Windows, e.g. "Supports Exchange Server 2003 (SMTP connection only)".
Anyhow coincidentally we're moving across to SMTP today (all being well) so I should soon be able to test MailWasher!

Hi rgledhill,
Exchange 2000/2003 uses SMTP Queue thats the reason our application uses smtp on these versions. However, Exchange 2007 uses different methodology and MWES release for Exchange 2007 will be used with any layer.
Cheers
